I live in another state. How can I get my piece to you to be reupholstered? There are several companies that BK Upholstery refers customers to when looking for freight carriers. Shipping estimates are affected by the size and weight of the piece and the location you are shipping from. Typically shipping costs $200-300 round trip for items shipped from the east coast and $400 for items shipped from the west coast. You can contact the companies listed above for a more exact quote.
There are few companies in the United States that can perform the type of work that our company does every day. Some of our employees have been in the business for decades. The quality of craftsmanship and the ability to restore these valuable pieces far outweighs the relatively low cost of shipping them to us. Do your prices include new foam? Yes. Typically when a piece needs to be reupholstered it also needs to have the foam replaced. We have a variety of high quality foam, all of which are fire retardant and surpasses the requirements for Cal 117 Fire Code. Can I purchase fabrics from your company? Unfortunately no. Can I pick the fabric that I would like to use for reupholstering? There are several variables to selecting fabrics for a specific piece. The number of textiles that can be used varies, often affected greatly by the shape of the piece. Our company strives to please its customers while restoring each piece as close as possible to the original specifications. If you have a question regarding a specific piece, please call our office.
